It is the mission of the State Police Officer’s Council to enforce, protect and enhance the rights and benefits of its members.  The council has been an active part of serving our members since 1976.  We currently represent over 550 members in collective bargaining, grievances and any other matter which affects our officers’ health and safety.  SPOC is dedicated to working for better legislation that guarantees the rights and benefits deserving of our officers as well as enhancing officer health and safety or having a positive effect on the safety of the citizens of Iowa.  SPOC and its sub organizations also take an active role in donating to charities and maintaining positive community relations.  Our members health and families are important to our mission, and we will continue to work to improve the lives of our members.
